Mark J Stock

The idea that this artist is using physics and technology to create art amazes me.
This represents the reaction happening from chemical to kinetic state. I feel like it tells a story and is so much more than what it looks like.
This one is truly my favorite. He is describing magma and molten rock in this piece of art and how it all comes together. I would put this in my bedroom =).

fastest computer

After researching, I found that the fastest computer in the world is Japan's K computer built by Fujitsu in Kobe, Japan. Cray, IBM, and Hewlett are some of many that use supercomputers similar to the K computer.

The LINPACK benchmark program, running on the part of the system that employs 68,544 CPUs installed on the K computer being configured, recorded the world's top performance of 8.162 petaflops. When configuration of the K computer is complete in 2012, it is designed to achieve LINPACK performance of 10 petaflops. It will be widely used in a variety of computational science fields where it is expected to contribute to the generation of world-class research results.

flip book/frame-by-frame

This frame-by-frame interested me because the figure is going to the music and tells a good story. I also enjoyed the way the music and the animated figured were in sync.

I thought this one was very cute and even with such simple drawings they were put together very well and danced along perfectly. :)

This animation caught my eye and I thought it was amazing how fast and real it looked. Not only real but the drawing was incredible and it looks like this person took their time doing what they love.
